《边城》讲述了一个老船夫和孙女翠翠的故事,通过展现湘西人民之间浓厚的乡亲之情、老船夫和孙女翠翠相依为命的亲情以及翠翠和傩送之间的爱情,使人感受到湘西地区淳朴的民风。

Frontier City tells a story about the love of the old boatman and granddaughter Cuicui and Cuicui. Byshowing the strong local affection between the people of western Hunan, the dependent family relationship be-tween the old boatman and granddaughter Cuicui, and the love between Cuicui and Nuo, people feel the simplefolk style in western Hunan. In the Border City, people seem to be in the paradise of the world. The rich and sim-ple folk style reveals the beauty of "nature" everywhere.
